What Jidoka does

Jidoka is an open-core testability assessment engine. It parses source code using tree-sitter to perform deterministic structural analysis. The open-source tool runs entirely on your machine. Jidoka Cloud is the optional hosted service for score submission, historical tracking, and team dashboards.

Data we collect

  • Account information — Name, email address, and profile image from your GitHub or GitLab OAuth provider.
  • Scorecard metadata — When you submit a scorecard via the API, we store the computed scores, dimension values, and repository name. We do not store your source code.
  • Usage data — API call counts, timestamps, and IP addresses for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
  • Payment information — Processed and stored by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.

Data we do not collect

  • Source code — the local tool parses your code on your machine. Only computed scores are submitted to the cloud API.
  • Repository contents — we do not clone, mirror, or access your repositories.
  • Telemetry from the open-source tool — the local CLI does not phone home.

How we use your data

  • Authenticate your identity and manage your session.
  • Display historical testability scores and trends.
  • Enforce plan limits (API calls, repository counts).
  • Process payments via Stripe.
  • Send transactional emails (account changes, billing).

Data storage and security

Account and scorecard data is stored in Turso (LibSQL), a distributed SQLite database. All connections use TLS. API keys are stored as SHA-256 hashes — we cannot recover your key after creation. Sessions expire after 7 days.

Your rights

  • Access — View your data in the dashboard settings page.
  • Deletion — Delete your account and all associated data from the settings page. This is immediate and irreversible.
  • Portability — Export your scorecards via the API at any time.

Third-party services

  • GitHub / GitLab — OAuth authentication only.
  • Stripe — Payment processing.
  • Fly.io — Application hosting.
  • Turso — Database hosting.
